I requested to Smugmug space for us to host our future D70 Challenge Galleries. So, we got a new pro account that we can use to post the images in the future challenges. This will be aour site:

http://www.d70.smugmug.com/

later when I have some more time I will explain how you can use the account. But the beauty is that all Challenge participants will be able to upload their images into the account, and the images will be displayed at the smugmug gallery in a very neat manner.

They have been very generous with us so I hope the D70 supporters will join and open accounts with smugmug. below is the e-mail I got from them. As I said, later I will post a message explaining how the account can be used.

Hi Miguel,

Many thanks for thinking of smugmug for this! I'm very sorry that I didn't get back to you sooner -- we pride ourselves in answering email quickly but I'm the one who handles complimentary account requests and I was out of the office today.

The answer is yes, we'd be happy to set up an account for you. The D70 is a great camera and it's nice to see Nikon stoke the competitive fires.

I have no idea how much storage and bandwidth you'll use but I guess there's only one way to find out. :-)

I set up the account as d70.smugmug.com using the email address [email protected] and password D70sRock (case sensitive). I didn't check your current account, but this one should be a pro account with guest passwords and many other whistles and bells. See http://www.smugmug.com/pro/ and the help sections that relate to pro accounts.

Let me know if you need anything more.

All the best,
Chris

I ask because unless SmugMug supports voting for individual challenges, I was hoping this forum would follow the Canon people's challenge format. This used pbase as a host and my voting booth for voting. Just what I'm used to though I don't even have much time these days to participate.

I am already a big Smugmug fan and have two accounts with them that I co-brand on my websites.

I just bought my D70 last week so I look forward to getting some great shots with that I can Post.

Thanks for stopping by Andy. I've been following your work & using the tips you post in the STF for a few months now. They are lucky to have you there.

Congrats are in order for the many successes you've had over the last month.

For those interested in a smugmug account, you can use the D70 referral code "pGH3Dw8oDcewk" without the " " to save yourself $5, and let Smugmug know their support of the D70 Forum is appreciated.
