If you could give...

.... only one piece of photographical advice/challenge/tip to someone, what would it be? And why?

I think right now, and it changes for me, but I'm seeing a lot of pictures that have way to deep a depth of field.

So, my current advice that I would share with people is to shoot wide open. That means a wide open aperture, which is the smaller number, i.e., f2.0 rather than f8.0. Shooting wide open can add better character and depth to a photo. Traditionalists argue that a portrait should have everything in focus. I'd argue it shouldn't. Or at least doesn't need to be.

So, my suggestion/tip/advice/challenge/whatever is to go shoot in Av mode wide open.

Anyone else have any advice?
