Jumping spider lying in wait (D70)

No one told me how fun it is to focus through the viewfinder of a DSLR. I'll bet the owners of the D1/2 series have an even better time of it. With the Hoya +4 Closeup filter, I can even get to see the spider's eyes pretty clearly, allowing me to move the camera back & forth until sharp focus is achieved.

I used the Closeup Vari-Program mode for this. When I saw the spider, I had no time to check what my camera's current settings were. The spider was lying in wait to catch some ants and I've got some other pics of this fella to share in the next installment - I even have one of it "running" - that'll be the 1st for me.

50.0mm f/1.8D AF, f/8.0, 0.0063 s (1/160), iso200
