Print Quality Science Fair Experiment

My 5th grade daughter did her Science Fair project on how best to get digital pictures printed. She tested 4 on-line services (PhotoBox (UK), PhotoAccess, Ofoto and Shutterfly), one local place and an HP Photosmart 1000 inkjet printer, courtesy of our local Gateway store. She graded based on quality, cost and convenience. The HP printer won going away. We were amazed as the quality printed on Kodak Premium Picture paper. And we simply sprayed the prints with clear gloss protectant made for artwork so that they won't fade over time.

FWIW, On-line places were rated in the order above: PhotoBox (UK), PhotoAccess, Ofoto and Shutterfly. Ofoto and Shutterfly were a big drop from the other two. And the first two don't have to crop digital pictures. We printed them a 4.5x6. Ofoto and Shutterfly crop to 4x6.

Only problem is now I know I need a new injet printer...
