Help! Minolta 3D 1500 - takes 3D pictures

This camera can take 3d pictures, but I need some help!

I have come accross an old Minolta 3D 1500 digital camera. It captures two images when you take a picture, which you feed into a software package called Metaflash by Metacreations. The two pics are then transformed into a "3D" image which you can directly edit or feed into popular 3d modeling programs such as Bryce.

My problem? I can't find the software! Metacreations seems to have gone belly up.

Here is a link which describes the camera: http://www.rsi.gmbh.de/minolta3d_e.htm

Metacreations ( http://www.metacreations.com ) seems to have changed their name to Viewpoint Corporation ( http://www.viewpoint.com ), and they have no mention of Metaflash anywhere on their site.

Any suggestions?

If some other software package could handle the files (one a normal looking jpg, the other a jpg with vertical colored lines overlayed), I would be happy also. I just don't know where to look ..

Thanks,

  • Geoff
