Histogram and Channel Clipping
I understand the standard, luminosity histogram. I'm trying to understand when individaul RGB channels are being clipped. Is it when one or more of the RGB lines goes to the top of the histogram and flat lines there for some portion or is it when one or more goes all the way to the right side of the histogram? Whichever it is, is it always to be avoided? What is it telling me? What do you do to correct it? I have read about histograms at Luminous Landscape, Noman Koren, here, and searched elsewhere and have not found this information. I am hoping some of the more knowledgable people here can shed some light or point me in the right direction.
