I have been waiting for this lens for quite a time, now it might be the time. But never bought lens from them, how about it?

A very good retailer, with a 30 day return policy.
Wolf camera and Ritz camera are the same. I've made many puchases from
their local retail store and from their internet sales.
B&H and Ritz Camera my favorite stores!

I've bought quite a bit from Ritz. It's a good retailer.
I stay away from one location because the manager is a jerk.
Also, Wolf Camera is now owned by Ritz. All the same company so be confident you can get the same items and service from both.
The Wolf Camera in Fort Lauderdale is a serious shop that stocks higher end gear. Not all of their stores do. I tried their store in a mall and they don't stock any Bogen tripods and don't stock the D100 or any flash units above the SB 50 DX. I had to special order my D100 at the time I purchased it, but received it in 2 days.

i've purchased two bodies from ritz through their online store. my only problem is they didn't notify me when the items had shipped (i pre-ordered both).
i've also purchased from b&h, and i like their service more (email notification on every shipment) but ritz doesn't charge for shipping if you buy a certain minimum amount, which tipped the deal in ritz's favor.

I think that Wolf and Ritz are a little expensive, but they are worth it.
I bought a couple of years ago a tamron lens 28-300, the lens zooming collar got unstuck from the actual sleeve, so I was not able to zoom in and out with this lens, which was under warranty (I had purchased it 6 months ago at that time).
I then went to the Nearest Wolf and told them about my problem but they said that did not have any in stock, "but I am leaving out of the country day after tomorrow !" I told them, I am willing to pay for next day air shipping from your warehouse to here (new orleans).
They ordered it for me, and as they said the replacement lens was there waiting for me, when I asked for the cost, they said "NO COST" so ... not only they replaced the lens for a brand new lens (in other stores they would have sent it in) they went the extra mile for me.
This is a good policy. That is why , when I can, I buy from them.

Not the same company. The store and the website just have an agreement on exchanges:
"Ritz Camera Centers will accept exchanges from Ritz Interactive e-commerce websites on the same terms and condition as it does from other competitors, however, returns can only be made to Ritz Interactive websites. (See our websites for details.)"

my 2 cents....I am in west palm beach, fl...have been to the Pompano Ritz super store a few times....i do not like the way they treated me. Very strange ways of doing business. I have not been back to the store in Pompano....other locations may be different...however they have some policies that would prevent me from doing business with any of their stores.

I just got the lens yesterday as promised, actually faster than I thought, placed the order on 4th, item arrived on 9th, only 5 days.
It is great lens, I performed the unsymmetric test and it is ok. The picture is quite sharp, even at 24mm and 12mm at largest aperture, IMHO my 50mm f/1.8D is almost as sharp as it is.
I am very happy with the lens although it is a little bit heavy since I am used to the light 50mm one.

Well, I know that 3 or mores ritz cameras in one big city, I noticed each Mall with Ritz saleperson or manager were not 100% know about!
Yes, I see price little bit high but if you need it instead of other Pro camera shop out of stock...
I bought few there without ask saleperson because I already review and test at Pro camera or so? ha
Also WORST onsite web is WWW.SMILEPHOTO.COM they're LIE about IN-STOCK and wait longest delivery. Lucky me because I cancel after 10 days nothing for stock. I bought other shop. big big lie! never order on smilephoto.
I like B&H photo very good and understand their OUT OF STOCK but more honest.
