Received my GR IV yesterday. Did shoot some test pictures.

Now I want to display/ edit the pictures on my Apple Mac Studio. The camera, just released, is not being recognised by my computer.

Don’t understand why…….but…..my computer has MacOS sequoia installed, not even the most recent OS…

Any Apple user owning the GR IV recognise this problem and know how to solve it?

NB I used the internal memory of the GR IV

Use "Image Capture" when connected with USB to the MAC.

A cable must be for data, not just charging.

Did work, thank you. Now I have to find out how it works with my iPad Pro

Simple: install app "GR world"

Assuming you are using Apple Photos, Raw images will not be viewable until Apple get around to adding the GR IV to their Raw processor. They can be incredibly slow.

It’s not clear why you’re having problems. The DNG format didn’t cause any issues in many programs I’ve tried, including Photos and Viewer except DxO PureRAW.

No, I use Capture one…

But….the GRIV, like the other GR’s produces raw pictures in the .DNG format…so, is it necessary to wait for C1 etc to optimise their rawprocessors to the GR IV dng’s???

I, indeed, can open the GR IV files in C1, Apple photos etc. No problem.

The C1 doesn't have a lens profile yet, but that's not really necessary.

I know, installed it and it is possible to import the files by WiFi… but slowly, 4 seconds/picture…

When I connect my OM-1 wired with my Mac or iPad and turn it on, the camera is added to the filesystem ; the camera too is “seen” within C1 and selected pictures can be imported with high speed.

When I read the manual , the same is possible in Win 10 and 11, but not with the newer MacOS (15 and 16)

see page 175 within the manual.

Strange…….
