You could also get the FTZ adapter to use the 18-140 on your Z50 II if you didn't want to get the Z-mount version of the lens. I find that F-mount lenses tend to AF a slight bit better on Z bodies using the FTZ adapter.
 
That is funny that you mentioned that, because I I took it out and tried it on my Z50 yesterday. Actually, other than the extra weight, it worked quite well. Her is a close-up that I too with it.

So, now I am considering selling my old version and buying the new Z version.

My old 150-600 Tamron has failed! Guess I'll be restricted to closer subjects from now on.
