Can we expect 75mm or 90mm f1.2 lens from Fuji

Was looking to buy Viltrox 75mm f1.2, looked at tons of pics all over. But for some reason I don't get the feel of fuji's signature contrast and colors, they reather feel like shot with adapted lenses, apologies here! the 56mm 1.2 pics looks feast. Standard comparision reviews all shows viltrox images on par with fujifilm counterpart lenses, but the the real world images are way different for me.

Fuji!! a 1.2 lens in 75-90mm range please !!!

Try the XF 90mm f2, it's superb!

I think you really are likely mistaken. Can viewers blind to the lens use see the supposed differences?

if I worked for Fuji I'd be thinking no need to try and compete with that 75 Viltrox. Unless maybe the af could be made faster.

Thus far I'm very happy with the colors it gives.

The Viltrox 75 is superb in real-world use, as well as the Fuji 90 f/2. Either one would do the job for you.

I'm almost ready to buy, but was just thinking, waiting to see if Fuji comes up with wider than F2.0 in that focal length.

Thanks Morris for mentioning(suggesting) the 90mm f2. I was going the 90mm pics, seems great lens, with WR.

I tend to agree with others here that a 75 from Fuji seems unlikely. I don't see enough of a marketing need with the Viltrox around. I'd much rather they put the effort into refreshing current lenses.

There are a few 3rd party 85mm lenses out there as well. I think f/1.4 or f/1.8. Viltrox, Meike, Sirui. Can't speak to quality, but might be worth checking out.

Although 'only' f/2, I've never seen a bad review of the 90mm from Fuji.

How do you define Fujifilm's signature?

In what respect? Examples would help.

I looked at images in the below review and browsed thru numerous pics all over, for me they look very artificial, flat, not sure if issue "for me" with colors is due to post processing, the over all appeal for me is meh, but its just my feeling, not judging the lens.

And some random pics below of 56 1.2 on flickr

For me the Fuji colors are full of life :-)

If you are unsure about the V75 colors check out Artur's posts of late. The orange 240 in particular is just ocular goodness in the extreme. The 27 I think he used for the vintage Rolls also puts colors on the screen that just reach into the heart and caress the soul.

My own first impression of shots from my 75 in editing was 'omg fuji colors just got better!'.

The Fuji 90 f2.0 is a lens that you really don't worry about using wide open.

An equivalent 1.2 that was as casually usable at 1.2 would likely be significantly bigger and more expensive for very little tangible gain for many customers.

If the Fuji 90mm was more of a compromise in terms of performance when wide open then that might make a 90 or 85 F1.2 more attractive for those working at F2.0 and not just F1.4 or F1.2. But the existing 90 isn't that compromise.

When I was shooting Pentax APS-C, the 70/2.4LTD was my most used lens. To me it's the perfect short telephoto for the format.

When I bought my X-T5 I went to the Fuji catalogue to find a lens in that range and was very disappointed.

It seems like a no brainer focal length, being the same angle of view as the classic 105 on 35mm.

Anyway, I ended up with the Viltrox 75/1.2 and am fairly satisfied with it. It's not Pentax glass quality for sure, in fact it's probably about 3 rungs down, and at least a rung down from Fuji, but it's still a very good lens.

It is more prone to flare, but compared to SMC glass everything is more prone to flare, and the AF is somewhat slow by Fuji standards, closer to the AF on my old K3 than the much faster Fuji AF, but I use it in the studio for portraiture so blistering AF speed really isn't all that important, and it is a bit longer than I like

So yes, I'd like to see a 70mm (not 75mm) from Fuji, an f/1.4 would be fine, but as far as my buying one, that ship has sailed.

Interesting request. I use my 90mm f2 for architectural photography, which means packing it along when I have trips to such places as Chicago and New York. I use the small-body X-T50 for these trips. I was just recently thinking that a small 90mm would be very nice to have. Since I shoot in broad daylight, I'd go with, say, f4 if that would make it very small.

I'm sure I'm the only one wanting more very slow primes.
