I purchased this camera a long time back (2011/2012). It was a great little travel camera at the time but now when you look at the photos you can see she's past her prime. One thing I have to say is the build quality is extremely good. I have had this camera forever and it has taken its lumps with the best of them and never had an issue.

Lumix is a great brand, and to be fair, if the build quality is the same on the rest i might as easily moved to Lumix from Nikon instead of Fujiflim.

I just sold my FZ1000 and replaced it with the LX10 as a compliment to my new Z5. The LX10 takes great stills and great video in the smallest package you can hold. For 500 bucks it works great.

Which color is your tired ZS10? Blue? Silver? Black? I wish they offered a Pink colorway.

You gave "Excellent" to Kids/Pets category. You meant sitting still or running around?

Your ZS10 is just fine. Don't blame the old lady. ;)

Yeah,

My apologies, i gave the wrong model number. I selected the LX10 - and should have selected the LX5. Sorry for the confusion.

I appreciate your review...I'm looking at older cameras for my high school jr to take with him on a trip to Spain this summer. I was debating on him just using the PowerShot G10 he currently owns or something slightly newer and possibly different along with more compact/lighter weight. My only critique to your 4 year old comment is that there is no way you bought the LX10 in 2011/2012 as it didn't come out until 2016/2017...so are you confusing your camera gear or just your dates?

Yeah, normally I do...however when it shows up as a review under a camera I type in, it doesn't show the whole thread. Better yet, perhaps the OP should have removed the post after making the mistake.

Or, I'll continue doing as I do...I've been a member for 8 years...I've made very few comments or posts. Who cares. Don't like it, too bad, how's that? And that's being polite.

Actually, members can delete...not by themselves...but it can be done...just like I could have had my comment deleted....but if you'd like to continue responding back and forth, I'll make this thread go longer than necessary.

Just rewording what I posted; user cannot "easily" delete post as I noted. Yes user can request the forum moderator to remove post, "ONLY IF" they are aware that they could request the forum moderator to remove post.

Apparently the OP was not aware thereof, or just figured it was easier to post about his mistake.

I have an even older ZS3, in an even nicer blue, and the next-in-the-series black TZ5: they're both mostly stored, but each still looks and works fine.
