Other than the macro, used the Kit lens. For many years now, have been shooting RAW. Had been using Canon's DPP to process but for the past year have been using ON1. Thanks for the comments.Lovely shots. Other than the macro, what lens did you use? Are these sooc, processed jpegs, or processed raws?
Thank you. I wanted to try ON1 but my PC is too old and it does not run on it. I'm toying with the idea of getting a 100D instead of an R100 or R50 so that I will have funds left over to update my PC. When composing a shot like the ladybird, do you use the viewfinder or rear screen? One of the things that I'm worried about with going the DSLR route is being able to focus and reompose shots like that with the viewfider, I'm guessing using the rear screen and live view would yield more keepers.Other than the macro, used the Kit lens. I use a back focus button on my SL1. It's frankly invaluable when composing. Never used the LCD screen.Thank you. I wanted to try ON1 but my PC is too old and it does not run on it. I think you might be better off using Canon's DPP. It's simple, straightforward without any of the fancy bells and whistles of some of the other third-party programs.
Good luck!
This little beauty is probably the best camera I have owned. Nails the colors and metering. It's a compact 20D with better ISO performance. Every canon shooter should have one in my opinion.
