I have just received Viltrox 56 f1.7... what a lens.. IT Is simply amazing. Here Is a brief comparison of the center sharpness between Viltrox 27,75 And 56 along with TTArtisan 50mm f1.2 - all wide open. To me, 56 Is the sharpest of all the lenses with consistent sharpness to the extreme corners. TTArtisan 50 has a nice rendering but it shifts colors a lot. 75 Is a bokeh king. 27 Is amazing also.. I Will keep all the lenses.. maybe I Will sell TTArtisan.

The 56mm would be a perfect lens if it comes with an aperture ring.

Much nicer rendering on the TTArtisan for sure - that bokeh on the Viltrox 56mm is a little on the busy side for my liking.

No doubting the 75mm is a fine lens and is my pick for overall IQ out of this bunch. I ultimately sold mine as in the full year that I owned it I think it left the house twice. Much like the 90mm I owned before it, it's just not a focal length that I found all that useful.

If you do not take portraits, there Is no reason for sure to buy portrait lenses such as 75 or 90mm. Regarding the rendering of 56 vs TTArtisan - bokeh of 56 Is not harsh at all. The Reason for less smooth bokeh Is that 56 Is f1.7 and TTArtisan Is f1.2. otherwise bokeh of 56 is smooth as it can be for f1.7.

Fair point. I didn't think 1.2 and 1.7 would be that different (especially at this focal length and in this type of scene) but I'll take it on board.

The Viltrox 56 mm is not very good in bright lens scenes. I have also bugs : may be you should not take off this lens without switching off the camera, but I am not sure, that the problems I did encounter came from that.

Otherwise it's indeed a very good lens, but it lack a better lens coating.

Please label the photos with the lens used, as I can't tell which is which except to guess.

There is way more to the quality of bokeh than maximum aperture. The whole optical design of the lens & number and shape of aperture blades.

Ok, here Is a update regarding 56 f1.7 from Viltrox. The lens is sharp as hell. There Is no fringing at all. Its bit softer at minimum focus distance (about 55-60cm). Autofocus Is not Fast but silent. The lens has swirled bokeh but otherwise IT Is smooth. What I love most about the lens are colors (very nice saturarion And very close to Fuji lenses), sharpness corners to corner wide open And crazy Sharp stopped Down. I also really like lower contrast with open Shadows. The lens has also great gradation of skin tones. This lens is a real Killer..I dont know what to say else.. for 120 dollars? It Is simply crazy.. build quality Is also good. What I would improve Is min. Focus. distance from 50cm, aperture ring for sure And thats IT..
