Do you prefer same resolution bodies? My Z8 makes me question Z6

Hello

I've had a Z6 for a long time and love the IQ. The AF is very bad though for half of my use case. Finally got a Z8. For wildlife it replaces the D500 and then some, it's fantastic. It feels a little more hollow and less rugged than I anticipated compared to the D500 and surprisingly the Z6, but aside from that, it's outstanding.

I did recently give it a run out for hikes/landscapes. I found that whilst on a 4k screen the final image isn't a million miles away if not cropped (limitations of the screen resolution), the ability to crop the composition was really helpful. Instead of swapping to my 100-400, with the Z8, I could crop the 24-120mm image further in.

It just makes me wonder whether I should swap the Z6 for a Z7 so I have 45mp on both bodies. As now - it's odd, I prefer the Z8 for all applications, so having two bodies, i'd still be half tempted to swap lenses on to the Z8 (which in two body configuration is 150-600) for a landscape shot instead of using my Z6 with 24-120 or 14-30. Not decided.

Do you guys tend to have same resolution bodies? The Z6 is great, and perhaps I should just enjoy it as my second body given I don't print much. It's just the extra detail and ability to crop on the Z8 makes me wonder! Though for my application - Flickr and small prints, perhaps the money could be better used on lenses or a holiday.

I was just curious if anyone had the same thoughts.
