~24mm/FF for Milky Way in 2024?

I shoot quite a lot of astroscapes (Milky Way with some landscape). I am already covered in the WA range and my next buy would be a lens around 24mm. Getting sharp stars puts a lot of constraints on lens performance and things don't necessarily extrapolate from seemingly sharp shots during daytime to MW shots.

Is the 24mm/1.4 GM still the best option? It's pretty pricey. Have there been updates to the other 3rd party lenses in the last few years?

For the record, I've tried and returned/sold:

Sony 20mm G: center looked great but there were aberrations on the sides (~1/4 of the frame). 2 copies were decentered.

Tamron 17-28mm: reasonable at 17mm but not good at longer FLs.

Thanks.
