Who regularly gets more than 3 stops of stabilization?
1

When I started paying attention to it, I find that I typically get about 2 to 2.5 stops of stabilization on my various bodies. Once in a blue moon, I get a 4+ but it is very, very rare.

Taking the rule of thumb of 1/35-mm equivalent focal length as a baseline and then cutting it in half for each stop... 2 stops is pretty typical for free standing, take a breath and hold it, very carefully squeeze (not pushing or punching the shutter)

I recently got the 12-100mm to see how it behaved on the E-M1 Mark II versus on the G9ii- I sure don't see a whole lot of difference.

I was thinking that the full frame s5ii has significantly less effective stabilization than the E-M1 Mark II, but I think it is only less effective than what I THINK the E-M1.2 does. In a direct shootout, 2 or so stops.

Anybody regularly getting 3, 4, 5 stops of stabilization?

Olympus E-M1
