Sensor Size Doesn't Matter

https://petapixel.com/2024/03/03/its-time-to-stop-being-elitist-about-camera-sensor-sizes/

This article slamming Photoblogger for being elitist about camera sensor sizes got me thinking about two shots I took today with two cameras on the same spot.

The first with an iPhone 14 Pro, handheld at 3 seconds

The second with the OM-1 and 12-40 on a tripod, shot with LiveND64 and a Circular Polariser, at F11 for 1 second.

Both can get the shot. The iPhone at 12MP and the OM1 at 20MP. Obviously, the iPhone is significantly lighter and easier to use and you can shoot long exposures handheld in any lighting situation. But with a good tripod and the LiveND feature combined with a polariser, you can shoot daytime long exposures on the OM-1 at F-Stops with lens defraction.

Both are processed in Luminar Neo with the exact same adjustment settings.
