To Level . . . or . . . Not To Level . . . ???
1

Hey fellow croppers!

So I have this image of a ferry on the ocean and the back ground beach water level horizon is tilted falling down from right to left . . . while the ferry is relatively level . . . but the falling horizon doesn’t really look right to me . . . so . . . I cropped to a 3:2 aspect ratio making the back ground beach water level basically level horizontally . . . so now the water horizon is pretty level . . . but the ferry has a slight upward orientation to it . . . I also did a 16:9 crop leveling the beach horizon.

So . . . which is correct? . . . discounting the curvature of the earth which should not be a factor here . . . should the beach water line be level in the image . . . or should the ferry be level . . . the tilted beach line looks a little odd . . . but then again it is an island with an irregular shape and orientation . . . but the water is going to basically sit level due to gravity.

Is one more correct that the other . . . are they both correct . . . are they both wrong . . . thoughts . . . ???

Original capture . . . ferry basically level . . .

3:2 crop with beach water line basically level . . .

16:9 crop with beach basically level . . .

Sorry . . . I was bored . . . lol!!!

Best,

V G
