As opposed to "how it looks" here it is according to the GIMP which shows the absolute difference:
At left, as-is ... at right brightened 10X to bring out the differences
Some might think the patches are the wrong color e.g. patch 16 should be pure yellow but please note that I said "absolute" difference above, meaning that any negative channel difference is converted to be positive which obviously changes the color.
Some might say that subtraction would be better but I don't do that because any negative result is clipped to zero which again changes the color.
