The fourth camera in Leica's SL series of full-frame mirrorless cameras sees the 60MP BSI sensor from the Q3 and M11 models arrive with a significant interface redesign.
Why am I drawn to Olympus/OM System?
This is the kind of post that may drive some of you crazy because it's illogical. I get it, so feel free to ignore. If you want to continue reading, thanks for hearing me out...
Before I bought my current camera, the Lumix S5ii, a camera I'm enjoying for the most part, I almost bought an OM-1. For various reasons, that didn't happen and I ended up with the Lumix, whose price was undoubtedly a "good deal". I've had the camera for just over a year and I've captured several photos I really like.
Ever since I sold my Olympus E-1 many years ago, my fondness and intrigue with Olympus and now OM System really hasn't waned. And I just don't know why. What is it about Olympus/OM System and the "inferior" sensor that still appeals to me? Can anyone else relate to the allure of a particular brand or product that by certain measures is "less than" other products on the market? Is there a level of subjectivity that pulls at you? Those are all serious questions...
Thanks for listening.
