Re: Banding on Z9

I've read this thread with interest as I use Z8's and Z6's professionally for performing arts photography. I wonder if anybody here has developed a solution? The high frequency flicker reduction isn't a solution in my case. If there is a problem at 1/160th for instance the only solution I have found is to reduce the shutter speed to nearer the mains frequency. I don't see how juggling with the high frequency adjustment is going to miraculously let me shoot at 1/200th or 1/250th for example.

I have also experimented with the motion blur filter and masking and found that to be unworkable. Often so much blur has to be applied that it becomes very difficult to then work with the mask if you have to brush round objects. I can see it working if the background is free of objects and soft but if it's in focus brushing out the mask to take the blur off the object reveals the problem again or at least an in focus element returns.

I have had some success using the method in the youtube video below but if the background is complicated there is still a lot of careful work to do. I have realised that there is no painless post production answer but if anybody has their own solutions they would like to share I would be very grateful.
