Preparing to print large picture

I've been asked to photograph the mountain where I spend the winter. A friend wants to print the final image in large format (I think probably about 36"x18" horizontal orientation). To prepare, I have been practising shooting RAW (haven't done that before) and on my Sony RX10iv I've chosen the RAW + JPEG setting so I can compare. When I loaded my test shots and reviewed the file properties, I discovered that the RAW file is 19.9mb and 72dpi whereas the JPEG file is 5.8 mb and 350 dpi. I was surprised since I would have expected the reverse regarding the dpi size since the RAW file retains so much more information than the JPEG.

Can a file that is 72dpi be enlarged to my desired size without losing resolution? Am I confusing different elements of digital photography? Is there a website that I can refer to for clarity here? Any assistance will be appreciated. Thanks, Glenda
