Video gear questions

I'm contemplating an amateur video documentary project - just for me really, though family/friends may be interested in the result if I can do it well.

My questions:

I want to use a Fuji camera so I can take advantage of my existing lenses, but not spend a fortune as this will be for video only, not stills. For that I'm hoping Fuji will release an X-Pro4 next year. Would the X-S20 be a good choice, or is there a cheaper model that will do the job just as well?

Combined with the above camera, would the XF 16-55mm f/2.8 be a good general purpose lens for video? I pick this because I would also like to have it for stills photography.

What type of SD card should I be looking at for recording video?

Any recommendations for a variable ND filter?

I'm aware that I have a huge amount to learn;I expect the project to take over one year, so I might have some clue by the end

TIA for all insights.
