This is a big lens and it's very easy to handhold and touch the manual aperture dial. Is there a way to disable it permanently in camera? I know how to disable it each time I activate the camera. Thx!

The title say you want to disable the LED, but the text says "manual aperture dial". You can put gafer tape over the OLED screen. The camera menu has a setting for disabling the control ring. You don't mention what camera you use, so we can't tell you where it is on the menu. I guess you have to read the manual. Look under "customization".

Sorry about that...I don't care what the LED says; I just dont want to manually change the aperture on the ring. I have a Z7
