Why is my clutch focus not behaving as expected?

Bought a used 23/1.4, the original version with the clutch mechanism.

When I mount it on my X-Pro2:

- if the camera switch is “S” then it will AF regardless of where the clutch is

- if the camera switch is “M” then it will manual focus with the clutch out, but if the clutch is pushed to AF position then it will not focus either manually or auto

If I mount the same lens to my X-T2 or X-E1 it works as expected: the clutch overrides the camera, so I leave the camera on “S” and use the clutch to switch between AF and MF.

Also, I used a 16/1.4 on the X-Pro2 last week and that behaved as expected.

So it’s only when my X-Pro2 and the 23/1.4 are in combination that either of them behaves oddly. The behaviour it exhibits is problematic because it means I have to switch two things to move between MF and AF. Annoyingly, I bought the lens pretty much solely to use on the X-Pro.

Camera firmware is 5.00, lens is 1.00.

Any ideas?
