Perhaps Nikon has figured "it" out.

I prefer the benefit of real time depth of field that you rarely got with a recent pre Z lens.

On high end cameras no-one seems to be suggesting Nikon AF performance or screen brightness is inferior to other systems.

Fine for the wide apertures, but you don't get real time depth of field preview beyond 5.6 though ever. You can press DOF preview if you assign it to a button, but you cannot zoom in...As soon as you do it deactivates. Not great for us landscape photographers as it could be.
