Anybody using the Nikon ZF in manual mode?

I bought a ZF that will arrive in a few weeks as a second camera to a Z8 with the idea of using it in manual mode:

  • M mode: dial to set the shutter speed. The EC dial would be ignored.
  • No auto iso. Dial to select the desired value.
  • A lens with an aperture ring (in particular, the Voigtlander 50mm f1)
  • May use the manual focus assist that this camera brings
  • No videos.
  • A single shutter, no burst mode.
  • If using a flash, also set the power manually.
  • May consider going exclusively with black and white (and not raw) to challenge myself with the use of light and contrast.

The plan is to go full in with the slow-paced experience. Otherwise, I would grab the Z8.

However, I feel it would be a waste of the Expeed processor.
