When trying to open Bridge from photoshop, it now goes to adobe cloud. I then have to open bridge from there. Has this happened to other people. Is there a setting to put this right. I've looked everywhere. I used to go straight into bridge from photoshop.

This is a bug and it was fixed in the latest update

It was not fixed in the current version, Photoshop 25.

The only way I could find to fix it was to uninstall PS 25 with Adobe Creative Cloud (leaving the current version of Bridge installed) & then reinstall it, again from Creative Cloud. It then worked as it should, i.e. Bridge opens from Photoshops file menu.

Quite unbelievable how such a basic & fundamental feature, that has been working fine for years, can suddenly be fouled up.

Says a lot about Adobe quality control. I assume there is more than one man & his dog writing & testing the program nowadays?

It happened to me a while ago as well, but an update fixed it. Now after more updates its doing it again. NOT a great big thing, just more steps to do when i didn't have to do in the past.

Thanks. That seems to have done the trick. Uninstalled latest version and used previous version. That was still the same so uninstalled that version as well. Installed the latest one and now all is good. Thanks.

Glad it is fixed for you.

As I said, hard to believe that something so basic slipped through Adobe quality control.

Having said that, I reported a bug concerning the type tool (it will no longer retain the last settings used) a couple of months ago under PS 24 & this has never been acknowledged or fixed despite being there for a couple of updates. It is still there in PS 25.

I fail to understand why you had to go through that drill. Photoshop 25 resolved the issue for me. Using Windows 11.

I have used Bridge for years with barely a hiccup but I have had numerous problems in the last few months. Someone on the Adobe forums recommended to me to only update Bridge if you can do a Photoshop update after it. That seems to have fixed some glitches.

Its a fact. That what was happening. From photoshop straight into Bridge. It wpold NOT do. It opened into Adobe cloud, then bridge had to be activated.

This has happened to me 3 times in the last few months. The first 2 times an update fixed the problem. This last time i had it for ages. Until i followed the advice from Canaryfan. Many thanks to him.

Just tried and Bridge opened directly from Photoshop. No issues here. I am using Photoshop 2024 and Bridge 2024.

Funny, but it only happens on my computer running windows 10. My computer running windows 11, it has never happened.
