Ball head for use with Wimberly Sidekick
1

I'm thinking about getting a Wimberly Sidekick or similar clone (e.g. Movo GH400) for birding. I've just bought a Sirui K-30x ball head, though its panning base is very slow. This helps it be more precise, but not as great for tracking.

What would be a good ball head to match the side kick, which tracks things quickly enough? It's hard to find information about the panning speed of ball heads.

My budget is similar to the cost of the Sirui K-30x ($100US) which I can return via Amazon if needed. I'm aiming to support a Canon 100-400ii with 1.4iii extender.

EDIT: Unless anyone reckons the Sirui would be fine, it just feels slow on the pan, that's all.
