Short answer is yes you should add one: using a GPU to process instead of the CPU will always be far faster.

Why: all to do with architecture GPU chips are designed and optimised to parallel process a huge numbers of complex operations

You don't need the best GPU in the world but it will be far far better than using the CPU only / CPU with integrated GPU.

I would suggest even if on a budget that now nvidia rtx4000 series are around you could pick up a decent second hand bargain on rtx2000 or rtx3000 series and that will give you more than enough

personally would go nvidia rather than amd as generally better supported in image/video editing environments
