Use freeware The!Checker (Prior version was PicCheck)

I use a program called The!Checker . You generate a CSV file and store it on the hard drive for the directory/images that you want to copy. After burning the CD then rerun and generate a CSV from the CD/DVD, then the program will compare and flag any differences. This is the only sure fire way of knowing that it worked.
