There is nothing subjective about a spec list.

NO ONE cares about a spec list while looking at the picture.

You lose tones shooting in 12 bit. Not a lot, but I want to keep all my tones especially in my shadows

'specs dont matter' is a different conversation, friend

cheers

OK let me put it this way -> a picture is the purpose of a camera and the picture is subjective. Specs may or may not make a difference in the picture. In my book its the contents of the picture not the tech behind the picture is what counts and that makes it SUBJECTIVE.

"based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions"

Please next time read the OP before. We discuss the difference between 12 and 14 bits. So yes, specs matter a lot for the purpose of this thread.

Hmm onemore try

You do this because you can see a difference, I never said different. The thing is, its done for you making the subject to what you like. That's what makes it a subjective process.

Honestly I do not see any logic or relevance of bringing it down to what is or is not subjective.

The point of this thread has nothing to do with any subjectiveness. It is in smthng completely different.
