For those that don't know about it MeWe would be a good place for a Sigma Group. Though it is a social media site with similarities to FB, it has some fundamental differences. Firstly, no advertising or data harvesting, it's privacy orientated. It's free, but you can pay a low subscription for more file storage. You can upload and display images with good quality. You can have group chats and it already has photography groups on there. It also has a clean and relatively easy user interface and a mobile app.
I have used it and l have found it to be pretty good, setting up a group would be quick and painless. I recommend checking it out, it's a no-brainer in my opinion.
For clarity, l have no affiliation or vested interest, l just think it's a great option.

I looked at what wiki had to say.
MeWe is mostly political.
It's not for me.
David
The irony being that Wikipedia was hijacked and politicised a long time ago and is literally a real disinformation site.
MeWe is only 'political' in that it respects privacy and free speech. There are many groups on there that have no political content whatsoever, the groups are what you make them.
It's a depressing sign of the times that anyone still thinks Wikipedia is a 'trusted' source, it's anything but.
