Oddly enough, I see the PEN-Fs but not the PEN E-P7s on MPB.
Any idea how much the PEN-F was sold at when it was released?

So £250 more, either body-only, or with the EZ kitlens - before currency fluctuations, inflation etc.

And yes, that's using the non-UK European version of MBP.
Looking at some pictures, it seems as if they hand out the "excellent condition" quite generously!
I have both a PEN F and an E-P7 and am delighted to have both. I bought my PEN F from B&H while I was waiting for my E-P7 to arrive from Japan. The PEN F suddenly appeared in the used section with a rating of "Like New", so I immediately bought it. It was the complete packaged kit with flash,etc. and had a shutter count of 184. The price seems to be continuing to go up, so I would buy a PEN F first. One thing I prefer on the PEN F is the four custom settings which you don't have on the E-P7.Hey folks!

This being said, as i already own the OM-5 (and the OM-1), I find it hard to justify the purchase... however good looking the EP-7 appears to be!
Some already commented on this, but I'm keen to hear from people who have owned both the Pen-F (can be found used in Europe) and the EP-7 (can be found new).
I've owned the Fuji X100v in the past and, as I'm left eye dominant, the viewfinder was actually annoying at times in my experience!

However, on a seven week trip this past December and January I took the E-P7 instead of the PEN F with me as I was carrying my G95, GX850, & GRIIIx and five lenses with me as well. There is a noticable difference in size and weight between the PEN F and E-P7. I was real happy with the results of the E-P7 and I would guess that around 40% of my photos came from this camera with the PL8-18mm and PL15mm lenses the two lenses I always used for this set up.
Don't worry too much about the price you are seeing for a PEN F in excellent condition. It is what it is and you probabably won't do better. I paid US$200.00 more for my G95 than today's price. C'est la vie!
Oh, on an upcoming trip I'll be taking the PEN F as it's a shorter trip and I'll be travelling with a much smaller kit.

I enjoy them both but the big thing is that the Pen-F has an EVF. Build quality for the Pen-F is also nicer but I was pleasantly surprised about the EP-7 quality, it is really quite nice. So the Pen-F is slightly bigger, has a FAS and an EVF, comes in silver or black. The EP-7 is slightly smaller with a tilt screen and silver only. Image quality is going to be basically the same. It really comes down to your preferences.I like how you think, I'd love to get both! But then I'm pretty sure I'd have to sleep in my car for the better part of 2023!The Pen-F is, well, the Pen-F. So looks aside, you would say you enjoy using your PEN-F more than your EP-7 (which you enjoy nonetheless)?
It's a shame it's no longer possible to find them other than online. I wish I could start by holding one in person; that would be a good start!

I guess it all depends what you’re used to. The PEN-F is neither the fastest- nor the slowest-focusing camera I own, but it seems perfectly adequate. I suspect the E-P7 edges it out, though (haven’t done a rigorous side-by-side comparo).
The PEN-F does have a nice heft for its size, on account of its all-metal construction, but I’d still consider it an objectively lightweight camera at well under 500 grams. Here again the E-P7 has the advantage though, if you prioritize smaller dimensions and lesser weight.

They were a steal at launch when Olympus was bundling the 75mm f/1.8 with them. If they had that sale on again, I would absolutely get one and consider retiring my last GM5.
Old thread, I know but anyone who stumbles across it and misses the EVF but loves everything else about the camera - look into getting a “varifocal finder”. Clips to the flash hot shoe. You are welcome

Hi, does anyone know how to change the EV on this pen EP 7? I found contrast but I need a fast pption to change -3 to +3 light adjustment Also there is a button AEL AFL on the back, but I can't figure out what it does, I don't see any change? Thanks!
I have the E-P7 on the way, will be my first Micro third camera, Want something small for street, walk around etc. My Nikon Z FF system to big an heavy for daily use IMO. selling all my Fuji system. Pictures look good

Got mine just weeks before this thread started - and am still very happy with it!
Here, the head of a fairly large puppet, as seen "warts and all" in a museum in Cadiz, Spain - shot with the tiny Lumix 12-32 kitlens.

I'd buy one if they offered an all black version. Small, all black cameras are ideal for street photography.

Not an issue. I've used bright coloured compacts and nobody takes much notice.
In fact the non-black cameras keep a person looking like a tourist and not like some prowling "professional".

A big Japanese store lists all the E-P7 variants as out of stock but they are accepting orders.

So they are waiting on a product re-run. It sells well in Japan so I guess it will continue for a while.
That success may encourage a new Pen with OM System label on it as obviously the right to keep selling stuff with Olympus on it will have fizzled out.
Then for Europe it needs that USB-C socket as it will be a new product. That may encourage OM to make some other updates and changes if they think that the investment is worth it.
It would be a shame to see the Pen line disappear forever, but hey, bean counters rule industry so think of worst case scenario and it will most likely come true.
