If you use a bigger and heavier flash, the camera will feel out of balance. If you use the 320EX you will have much better bounce capabilities and flash power than the 270EX. The G11's grip is small and it will require more effort to hold it in position when you tilt the camera. The 320EX is bigger and heavier and it requires 2 more AA batteries than the 270EX.

If you don't need TTL (automatic flash), I'd buy a Godox TT350C. It is much lighter than the 320EX and has better bounce capabilities than the 270EX. It requires only 2 AA batteries. If you can test the flash before you buy it, try to check if the TTL works. The Godox TT350C is compatible with DSLR and mirrorless cameras, but there are some Canon Powershots that might work too.
