I‘m done with Amazon. Locked

I'm staying with Amazon.  When I have an honest problem with a product purchased on Amazon I have always been taken care of.  It's not often that this happens, but over the years it has happened.

Last year I purchased a new Lumix GF10 kit from Amazon Japan because I wanted to get the P12-32mm and the 35-100mm f/4.0-5.6 lens in the kit.  I paid in yen, but of course the bank transaction on my card was in US dollars.  It was great value from the third party vendor just for the 35-100mm lens.  However, when the kit arrived instead of the 35-100mm lens I received a kit with a P25mm lens instead.  There were actually two different kits at one time as far as I know.

I then wrote to customer service at Amazon Japan explaining the situation and offered to return the 25mm lens and they could send me the 35-100mm lens as I still wanted keep the kit.  Amazon apologized and said as it was a third party vendor their hands were tied and as it was an international transaction a bit complicated.  So, instead Amazon Japan credited me back 100% of the purchase and told me to keep the entire kit.  I got to keep the camera and two lenses.  When they credited my card back in yen, due to exchange rate fluctuation between the purchase date and credit date it actually cost me about US$7.00, more or less free.

Amazon is a business like any other business and it must keep the shareholders happy.  Hopefully we can all regroup on another forum. I'll be on one of them.
