Re: Memory cards for R6 Mark II

While I don't have an R6 Mark II (or I), I personally would use the fastest card possible. Not because the camera needs it, but because I need it...haha. I really like having a very fast read speed when copying my images to my computer. The Kingston Canvas React Plus SD cards are the fastest that I own, when using the Kingston Mobile Lite Plus card reader that came bundled with the cards . I have several different brands of UHS-II cards to use in my EOS R and a Sony RX-100 III and have tested all of them in various card readers for read and write speed using CrystalDiskMark 8. I also have tested them in my EOS R for fomat speed as well as clearing the buffer.

I have been using memory cards since 1998 and sd cards for 10+ years and have only had two failures in memory cards. One was a Hitachi MicroDrive CF card about 20 years ago, and the other was a Lexar Professional UHS-II 32gb sd card two weeks ago. The Lexar failure was due to the plastic housing of the card splitting. I guess the glue failed. The card still worked, but I was afraid to keep putting in in a camera and having it damage the camera card slot. But a failure none the less, but I would not think twice about buying another Lexar card. That card had definitely had a great life in several cameras.
