Re: Struggling between RF USM and STM lineup as an amateur

I skimmed over some photos which I have made with the rented R6 & RF24-70mm F2.8 during our last family visit. That was a great experience, worth every penny! Indeed many photos were made at F2.8 and 1/160, i.ex. at the evening in Autumn indoors. If RF24-105mm F4.0 would be so limited indoors, it would render it quite useless. I can imagine, I would have to crank up ISO a lot. Or use some primes instead, but more than 1 or 2.
So maybe you are right, I could at first buy RF24-70mm F2.8 (I am accustomed to this range, as I used to shoot with EF-S 17-55mm), use it for a while and add primes in future, if needed.
I had a camera backpack many years ago and I found it irritating to take off each time I wanted to pull the camera out. That is why I thought a messanger bag would be better.
I could also buy Peak Design Everyday Backpack and attach the camera on the side of the backpack with Peak Design Capture while in use. Would this make more sense? And as someone already mentioned, I could use the free space for toys, baby things, etc. Which size should I get? 20L or 30L? I leaning toward the 20L, as this is my normal backpack size which I use a lot. I don't want a suitcase on my back!
I know that light is the most important thing. We have a big, bright window. I would like to just reflect this sunlight. Any thoughts what could I buy so that it's easily set and easily stored afterwards. I thought about a reflector and somekind of a stand?
I was unclear in my post. I like the Peak Design Everyday Messenger bag. It was between that and the bag I eventually got on sale. Both look good/stylish. The messenger bag is what I use on walks or just bringing a two or three lenses on a short vacation. I have a big LowPro Protactic 450 backpack if I want everything with me.
