Will have thousands of shots in the next few months when they start to show up in force.

With your R7 ? What shutter mode ? Do you like frozen wings with feather fiber detail ? Slightly blurred to show motion ? Or completely blurred wings with only a sharp body and head ? I prefer slightly blurred wings, but that’s just a personal preference. I’ve done all the above.
I actually prefer to shoot mostly perched Hummers anyway… but I’m asking about Hummers in flight, because it seems like a type of photography that would definitely cause issues with rolling shutter (in ES mode) and then the mechanical shutter mode of the R7, WoW !  So loud and shutter shocking ! 😮
And don’t get me wrong….

I LOVE my R7 so much, I’m talking about selling my R5 and getting a second R7.

I’m just really reaching to find things the R7 might leave me disappointed with.

Every day in the field is a blessing. Nice photos, of beautiful birds and wildlife are just a bonus.
