Hi Chris,
What does "like new" mean in terms of number of mechanical shutter clicks? Total number (mechanical plus electronic)? And how old is it? Did KEH and B&H ask you about these details?
Thanks,
Rudy
Hey Rudy, basically just scratch free. I've even had a screen protector on it since day one, and do not use the articulating screen, so that is super tight. As far as shutter count, probably pretty low, as for the first several months I had it, I used strictly ES. So I dunno... maybe 30K ? From what I hear, their is no way to count electronic shutter clicks, and even if their were, that wouldn't add any additional wear to the camera. That racked up a LOT of shots quickly... which one reason I went back to mechanical. But after using my R7 for a month in ES, on the lowest sound setting, my R5 MS is just annoying
Thanks Chris.
I'm trying to get some idea of how the price of a used R5 is determined by sellers and buyers. Since the number of electronic shutter clicks don't seem to matter a lot, is it strictly the number of mechanical shutter clicks, plus the age and the cosmetic appearance that determine the price?
Did KEH and B&H give you any idea of why they gave you the prices they did? I'm asking because I'm trying to determine the value of my own R5.
Thanks,
Rudy
Oh, and I forgot to say, but my camera is about 14 months old.
