Very helpful, thanks! Yes I have taken some rubbish photos, my words. In fact I take many, many rubbish photos.

Are we to assume from your mockery that you don't, or that you always remember to do everything you were going to, even with the many distractions of life?

I have never once forgotten to raise the camera to my eye, because I was distracted by the shiny image on the back screen. As far as I can tell from the fact that not a single person has ever before complained about this happening to them that you are unique in this. I do sometimes compose using the back screen, most often with smaller cameras like my M6II. I find it easy and natural. But I only do it when I mean to do it. I don't think I'm unusual in this. I also don't get distracted by the presence of knives in my kitchen, and find myself chopping cereal, instead of pouring it into a bowl. Go figure.

Yes, anything on the rear LCD is a distraction for me. Dropping the LCD brightness helps somewhat, but of course then its no fun to show people the photos with dim light, so its not the best solution. 'Option 6' would be helpful in all the R cameras as an 'option'.

I'm not alone. The R5 has the solution already. R5 users asked for it, and some use it.

I guess some people enjoy mocking others anyway they can

Only the very few (probably just one) who truly deserve it by posting the single most absurd complaint I have read in weeks, perhaps ever.

, get off on it? Enjoy the mean-spirited sense of togetherness from attacking the 'other'? What is the point I wonder? Does questioning the abilities of a camera cause you pain from cognitive dissonance?

No, it's ridiculously silly complaints that cause me amusement. No pain at all. Keep at it. We all need something to brighten our day.

Go figure. I'm out.
