Which Ultra Wide angle for Fuji?

I would add that with an UWA you need to be careful about vertical lines. Converging verticals can be used to good effect, but often simply become an unfortunate distraction.

As an aside, you may notice that several of the pictures I posted on this thread are square. There is a reason for this: the shots were taken in portrait orientation, and then cropped square so as to remove the bottom third.

This allows you to shoot a horizontal view to keep the verticals parallel, but to dispose of the foreground that is often hard to fill with an UWA (which I believe is part of the reason a lot of people angle the camera upwards). The one image where I have left the foreground in is the one where it is itself highly geometric in sympathy with the main subject.

This way of shooting does demand a slightly wider lens than you might otherwise use, however, so don’t fear going wider than you might think you want.
