Scalpers are making big bucks thanks to Fuji's decision to produce as few X-Pro, X100V, and XE4s as possible.

If people keep paying 2X retail value for those cameras, Fuji will keep the ball rolling and won't release any new model soon. Why should they when the market is crazy for their current offerings?

You’ve gone next-level with the conspiracy theories there.

Apparently Fuji are deciding to not produce cameras, because people are paying lots of money for the cameras that they already produced and sold to someone else. Fuji would rather that those people got the cash.

Fuji have furthermore decided that they’re going to hold off on new models, because people are going nuts for the old ones that Fuji is cunningly refusing to manufacture and sell to them and are instead having to buy from Fuji’s previous customers. It would be madness to capitalise on that demand, so they’ll wait until no-one’s interested in Fuji cameras any more to then release a new model.

I mean, who’s running this business? Are they all on crack? If these crafty Fuji types had been manufacturing masks when Covid hit they’d have halted production and waited until the pandemic passed before starting it up again.
