Re: I'm NOT done buying camera bags

My partner loves to tease me about camera bags. Not even how many I have, just how many I seem to always be ready to purchase or appear to be shopping for! I tease her about her shoes, and it's a happy medium.

I've used the Mountainsmith Descent Sling (large) as my main bag for years now (and recommended it in several forum posts). Alas, it would seem that it is not produced anymore. I had the first version, and currently use the second. Has one amazing feature I wish other camera bags incorporated. There is a secondary zipper to expand one side of the bag that works exactly like luggage. It goes from about 11 to 14 liters when the second zipper is unzipped by expanding one whole side by a few inches. Just wish it carried a tripod better.

For smaller outings, I have a Retrospective 5 (1st version). For anything needing flash/lighting, I use a Retrospective 30 (2nd version).

I'm looking at replacing the sling with a backpack and currently the Thinktank Backstory 13 has my eye. So does the Quechua MH500 20L with some type of separate insert.

I always drool over those Wotancraft bags. The pilot 7L may replace the Retrospective 5L. I also like the look of the Wandrd Rogue sling line.
