Hey, back in the day, folks used to take some of this stuff into their own hands and write their own software fixes. Wasn't there a thing called Magic Lantern ? I don't remember what cameras that was for, but it was not a mirrorless. Has anything like that been done for a mirrorless ?

The EOS M has likely the most feature rich port of Magic Lantern and that is most certainly a mirrorless camera.

(I realize this is the R forum, where a huge chunk of people like to pretend the M series has never existed and Canon only started mirrorlessing in 2018, sorry for mentioning Voldemort)

LOL. But a lot of us still use our M cameras alongside our R cameras. My M6II still gets plenty of use.  I don't plan on flying with my R7 or R6II anytime soon.
