So far this is the only drawback I can see with my otherwise stellar camera. I have various settings for C1, C2 and C3. C1 and C2: got it to record separately slot 1 RAW, slot 2 jpeg. C3: I got Auto Switch all in jpeg. The problem is when I go to let's say in C3 then switch to C1---the C1 settings would flip to Auto Switch RAW 1 and RAW 2. Ditto if I was on C1 then go to C3, the latter will flip to a different recording setting. All other settings remain the same.
BTW, I have the Auto Update set. to Enable. At first I had it disabled and now to Enable but still the problem remains.
Are you encountering the same problem?
José
I called Canon Canada and told them about my problem. Rep told me to reset my camera so I did. Unfortunately, the problem remains. I hate to take this camera to the service centre for this minor issue. Besides they told me that they are no longer accepting walk-ins thus I have to mail my camera in. I won't bother. Hopefully there will be a firmware update to address this issue in the future.
