A very successful option for the HDMI out is to use a phone or tablet with native USB C. The updated Canon Camera Connect app allows USB C functionality with the Mk 2 as well as Wi-Fi and this works very well - in my case using an iPad Pro 11" connected to the R6 2 when shooting video (works with stills as well).
This allows a very nice preview on the iPad with almost no lag, stop/start button and exposure controls, PLUS tap to focus, double tap to magnify AND having the camera LCD screen fully operative as well (unlike with HDMI signal out).
I think an iPad mini would be an ideal size to mount on the camera itself but I mount my iPad off to one side with a fitting that allows it to be clamped to a light stand or tripod.
I'm not sure, but I would think this should all be possible with Android devices.
That’s very interesting option. Shame there’s no iPad app with usual exposure/focus/lut features. At least there wasn’t any last time I looked.
Thanks
