Yesterday My Camera Has taken a small fall whilst on monopod (with one short leg extended) when i placed on wall (which was curved pillar) Was Changing My Camera Lens. (So it fell without any lens on it. + At least it has White Camouflage Skin Warp To Protect Scratches.)
So I turned on my camera and now displays "Battery Communication Error. Does this Battery/do these batteries display the canon logo?", I have swapped the 2 of my Spare's Canon Batteries and still get Same message. But Camera was able to work fine by selecting "NO" and then Selected "YES" on Continue to use operation. (Without any Battery Info/Indicator.)
I'd have taken to nearby Camera Shop and they say they would recommended me to send the camera to Canon for repairs.
What I've tired to fix:
-Resetting Settings,
-Swapped Batteries,
Is there's anyway to fix without sending to Canon for repairs?
Also Bonus, There's is NO weird noises when I moved camera around. (E.g Loose Screws)
IF There's no OPTION to Fix without Sending to Canon, I'll probably just ignore the message and swaps battery when the battery in camera just died.
Cheers,
Bruce.
It’s sounds like some connection isn’t working correctly. Your R10 is presumably under warranty, so if there’s no visible damage, you could just send it in for warranty repair with a description of the error message and no mention of the fall. It’s up to you whether you feel comfortable doing that, but personally I would be. You don’t know what else will turn out to be faulty. At worst they will charge for the repair, but you will have a correctly working camera.
