Honestly, I think I'm leaning towards the "heat radiating from a warm car, to cold air outside" situation, causing blurry air.

I'm sure my car is quite warm, even with the heater off. I'm a big, heat radiating guy, but also, have a power amplifier under my seat which although I do not use it, as soon as I start shooting, I'm using it all of my drive there... And it stays powered up as long as the car is powered up.... So probably a long time to cool off.

I wonder if I wore really warm clothes, turned off the heater and stereo on the way, and even put all my windows down for the last 5 minutes of my drive > in other words, made the car miserable cold 😀 lol ... If this would fix the problem ???

I might actually try this, this afternoon. There is a rarish bunch of birds in a housing area I need to go find.... Plus I'm afraid of spooking them. So I might first shoot from the car, then see if they will let me get out....

How does that affect your R7 setup different to R5?

Maybe not much difference at all. See my last response above....
