Re: Fujifilm XF10 - new thoughts.

The solution is simple, set the camera to AF-S single point AF. Do not full press shutter to take the shot until camera have found focus and the focus square turned green. With this way of using it the AF becomes consistent, acceptably quick and almost never misses.

And of course do NOT use any of the useless AUTO modes - that your phone will do better. Instead set the camera to P mode and auto-so minimum shutterspeed of at least 1/80s and DR400.

For every shot that is not a close up, I just use snapmode programmed to the upper left button on the thumb grip above the Q-button. One tap for 5m landscapes, two taps for 2m and third tap gets me back to AF-S - Extremely effective and fast.

The "stuck" buttons I sadly have no solution for. My thumb wheel (the one on the right) on the top quickly became quirky and one click can sometimes set the exposure compensation to -2 instead of -0.3 or 0.7. But I can live with that as I usually have the camera set to -0.3 and just leave there except for special occasions.
